Human Resource Management, 12th Ed. August 31, 2010 Denise E. Bedwell (NM) This book was in new condition - not missing any parts or pages, and fits my need for the class I am taking. As far as the text, I have not gotten far enough into the book to make any assessment, but so far it seems fairly easy to read, flows well, and relates to the instructor's course work. I am pleased with this purchase.
Great service! August 9, 2010 Runner The book arrived quickly and was in great condition. Thanks for the speedy delivery, and the quality product.
Disappointed June 12, 2010 Faye59x (St Louis, Missouri) The product was in great condition and the price was phenomenal however it was not the addition I put in my search and the description never indicated that it as the 3rd edtion of series that is now in its 12 edition. Of course I was seeking the 12the edition. Needless to say I was very dissapointed.
Great book teaching the basics and more of HR May 22, 2010 Brandon Taylor (Palmdale, CA) This book is amazing. It makes learning the basic of human resources so easy and interesting. Before I read this book, I was unaware of how many aspects of HR there was. It really helps anyone learn the basics. The text brings up real-world examples and scenarios that really make it fun to read.
If you are an instructor, please do your students a favor and choose this book. The price is really high for such a small book but it really is worth it due to how well it explains the material. Oh yeah, I have no affiliation with the publisher and am basing this review on the twelfth edition.
Great reference for the HR Generalist April 22, 2010 L. Vilmain As a Human Resource Generalist one is responsible for a vast amount of knowledge. As I researched which general reference book to add to my library, I consulted the "HRCI's PHR and SPHR Certification Guide" for which books and authors most frequently appeared in the notes. I found this book/authors the most. This is the most recent editoin and covers an extensive amount of information. A good feature is the frequent recommendations for places on the internet where one can investigate the topics further. I found the copious notes at the end of each chapter reassuring as to content validity and helpful for additional reference . Lana Vilmain, HR Generalist, lvilmain@aol.com
